Almost as soon as we started the need for a newsletter like abilityNEWS became quickly apparent. We began it as a ‘proof-of-concept’ but the enthusiastic response pushed us to try harder.

But if we want to keep going we’ll have to pause so we can improve our internal processes to continue meeting this need.

Everything needs to work smoothly so we can continue to expand to meet the need.

The technical platform needs to be improved and we’re working on that. But the really critical need is to extend our coverage of the sector and strengthen our relationships with the disability community more broadly.

This means with individuals (in local and regional areas); the businesses and not-for-profits that are doing the heavy lifting; the professional services that are so vital for people-with-disability; equipment providers; academics and trainers; and the advocates and public servants shaping the sector.

We will be spending the time developing new products to address the needs of every part of this great community.

And we’d really love to hear from you!

We need assistance, ideas, volunteers, and helpers, no matter how large or small. Anyone who wants to help and become a part of this bigger project would be very welcome: with disability or without. And, of course, we’d love any generous benefactors!
